Referrals
can be made 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling the hospital at
731-588-2830. Referrals are accepted from physicians, assisted living
facilities, hospitals, family members, home health agencies, facilities
serving mentally challenged individuals, crisis intervention workers,
and mental health facilities. Information regarding the patient is reviewed
by the admission team and the referring person is informed when the
patient is able to be admitted.
Treatment Process
Upon admission, a history and physical is completed by the medical team.
A neuro-psychiatric evaluation is completed by the medical director.
This is completed in order to diagnose and treat the patient. All patients
have individualized plans of care for treatment. Patients participate
in group sessions that focus on mental health topics as well as activities
to enhance the treatment process. Medication consultation is provided
for family members during the weekly treatment teams in order to better
educate them on the patient's diagnosis and prognosis for treatment.
Family members are encouraged to actively participate in their loved
ones treatment. Patients receive 24 hour nursing care during their stay
in the hospital, and a typical length of stay for treatment is approximately
12-14 days. Discharge planners work closely with the referral source
in order to outline appropriate follow up post discharge. To discuss
transportation options, contact the hospital.
